As an administrator I Conduct An Ethics Audit Of a Fictitious Company That Is A Retailer And Manufacturer of Children toys. My purpose is showing need for ethics and its application in corporate social responsibility.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is aim that business companies run their business ethically and they take precautionary measure regarding working in partnership with local communities.   The purpose of CSR is performing its best activities in socially responsible, developing relations with customers and employees, environmental protection and sustainability. This is consider by taking the obligation with aspect of  social, environmental impact and human rights.

Now a days demands have been raised to implement CSR system in business from employees, customers and government to maintain and acceptable standards in the business.

Many large companies publish their CSR activities on their websites.

Primary stakeholders are owner and employees of an organization which are directly responsible for the failure or success of the business. As an owner this is the most important element to make your business profitable and well aware of legal issues regarding the paradigm toys business. Paradigm toys business is need to ensure that all business practices are appropriate to internal and external viewpoints. An organization can’t stay in the market without primary stakeholders.

Paradigm toys company has two secondary stockholders media and community surrounds the factory. These groups are extremely responsible for the profit of an organization.

This is the responsibility of an organization to work for the satisfaction for each and every stakeholder rather than primary and secondary stakeholders. The organization should made their policies with by accepting government policies regarding production design, quality and design to satisfy secondary stakeholders.

Similarly use of ethical and legal principles, long term polices, reasonable price, sharing profits with societies will help the organization to satisfy the primary stakeholders.

With the help of above mentioned policies company will note face any legal or ethical hurdles which will make the product and brand famous among the society as well among customer which will meet the needs of owners.

Importance of Ethical Culture in an Organization

Owners and managers of the organization develop a culture in an organization through their decisions and behavior which directly affect morale and loyalty of workers. Leaders use code of ethics to determine discipline procedures and acceptable behavior in the organization which encourages workers to achieve high level standards in the organization.

Such healthy ethical culture improves and enhances the goodwill of the company among society as well in customer which leads to improves company business.

Ethical culture within organization encourages the employees to work with integrity and with loyalty which will help to produce products with high quality and as per customer requirement and desire.

The organization can reinforce ethical behavior by rewarding employees who exhibit the values and integrity that coincides with the company code of ethics and disciplining those who make the wrong choices.

A healthy and positive ethical culture improves the morale of workers in organization which will increase efficiency and workers retention. If an organization offers monthly efficiency and attendance award to worker with this workers will work with integrity and loyalty in result  damage cost of the company will reduces as well as employees turn over will control and experienced employees are considered the company assets.

Ethics audit determines that how an organization is implementing social and ethical standard during operations. If an organization is engaging with an ethical audit which will impact positive social, environmental and economic impact on the society and other stakeholders. Ethical audit is essential in today business for ethical business environment.

In the Consequentialist framework, we focus on future effects of possible courses of actions and considering the people directly or directly affected.

 

In The Duty Framework person is focus and duties and obligation which are ethically designed by organization and person in this framework has limitations that what and what things should not do.     This framework focuses on moral duties regardless of outcome so this frame work allows that act ethically if the result is bad.

 

In the Virtue framework, this frame work focuses on variety of human experience and also difficult to resolves issues because this frame work emphasis on ethical behavior and education of role model.

It can sometimes merely reinforce current cultural norms as the standard of ethical behavior.

Following are the 3 components to solve the problem

#1 – Knowledge

As a manager you must know the factual information and also know that when and how to apply facts and also know the complete knowledge regarding how to plan, monitor and revised achievable goals.

As manager you have a culture of honesty in the organization.

#2 – Skill

Skill reflects one's proficiency at specific tasks such as operating a piece of equipment, giving a presentation, or making a business decision.

 #3 – Attitudes

Attitudes are beliefs and/or opinions about objects and events and the positive or negative affect (feelings) associated with them attitude affects the behavior of employees.

Most training pregame are include knowledge, skill and attitude and these program combine several methods because no signal method can do well.
 For me as a Manger I would like recommend knowledge for training program as other two components are also valuable for the training program but the knowledge is most benefit tool for the training program.

 

Because of following reasons I justify my recommendation

 

Lecture Method

Lecture method is the best source of understanding topic as you have answer and questions during lectures. During lectures people listen, observes and take notes about the discussion during lecture and learn a lot in short period of time.

 

Discussion Method.

Discussion method uses two way lecture and trainee have discussion which help to trainee to clear their concept what they have in their mind and what learnt during the lectures.

During discussion trainee get answer his questions what was in mind during lecture.

E Learning

Many companies arrange e learning for their employees from which employees learn and train from new technologies as well as related to computer base training.

With E learning employees learn word, excel and web browsing which help them during their daily task and assignments.

Coaching

Coaching is process in which employees how to handle the dilemmas during the process and they get direct help from their managers and seniors and they come to know that how they achieve their tasks are goals from their managers and management.
Mentoring

During mentoring manager mentor their subordinates and workers regarding the tasks and goals set by the management and they get knowledge how to plan and implements things during the process. Mentoring creates good relations between employees and managers.
